We are happy to see old friends.

Every HÄNSKA piece comes with a two-year repair guarantee, free of charge. We regularly extend that for products that have been well cared for. But the offer goes beyond a guarantee. We repair because we believe in what we made, and because a broken zip or a worn strap is not a reason to let go of something good.

What we repair

Most things, honestly. Broken or stuck zips. Loose or unravelling seams. Worn straps or webbing. Magnetic FIDLOCK closures. Leather that needs reconditioning.

If something has gone wrong with your bag and you're not sure if we can help, write to us. We almost always can.

What we can't fix

A few things are beyond repair. Stains, especially on natural fibres. Significant cosmetic wear. Discolouration from chemicals or sprays, which can react with our organic cotton dyes. Modifications to the original design.

We'll be honest about what's possible before we start.

How to bring it back

By post: send your bag to our Berlin studio with a short note describing what's wrong.

In person: book an appointment and bring it to the studio yourself.

Cost and timing

Repairs usually take around four weeks from the time we receive your bag.

If something we made has gone wrong (a manufacturing fault), the repair and return shipping are on us. Otherwise, you cover shipping. Within the two-year guarantee, repairs are free. Beyond it, we'll discuss any cost with you before we start.

Throwaway culture asks you to replace. We ask you to bring it back.
