The AMPLO is our extra-large tote bag. We designed it for all those moments when you simply have a lot to carry: a family trip to the lake, a big weekly grocery shop, ski boots, laundry, or a parcel that needs to go to the post office.
It features a spacious main compartment and an interior zippered pocket for keys and a wallet. On the outside, there is an open pocket for items you want to keep within quick reach, and a G-hook between the handles keeps the bag closed while being carried. You can carry it by hand or over your shoulder.
The AMPLO is made from half-linen, a water-repellent blend of linen and organic cotton, with vegetable-tanned leather details. It is lightweight, robust, and easy to clean. When you don't need it, you can fold it flat, and it will patiently wait for the next trip.

MATERIAL & CARE
Half-linen
Half-linen is a blend of linen and organic cotton, woven in Germany. The linen provides its natural strength, while the organic cotton offers softness. The fabric is water-repellent, durable, and comfortably lightweight.
Care: First, brush off any loose dirt while dry. Remove small stains with a slightly damp microfiber cloth, preferably without soap. For a more thorough cleaning, work in a little mild soapy water (a mild shampoo or wool detergent works well) using a soft brush, then wipe with clear water to ensure no soap residue remains in the fabric. Pat the fabric dry with a towel and let it air dry, keeping it away from radiators and direct heat. Please do not machine wash the half-linen.
Vegetable-tanned leather
The details are made from vegetable-tanned leather. Over time, they develop a patina that deepens with touch, light, and use.
Care: Wipe the leather with a slightly damp cloth to remove surface dirt. You can even out water spots or dry patches by rubbing the damp cloth over the area and the surrounding surface. About once a year, the leather appreciates a natural, colorless leather wax or oil to nourish and protect it. Be careful not to let any of it get on the fabric, as it can cause stains there.
Hardware
The G-hook between the handles requires no special care.
Natural materials change over time. Colors may darken slightly or soften, and that is precisely what shows what your bag is made of.
