BABY IKASI | yellow

For this limited edition of the BABY IKASI, Berlin-based designer Raby-Florence Fofana has
designed the print. Her abstract compositions and patterns have accompanied us through several
collaborations, and they look particularly cheerful on this small backpack.
Because the print falls a little differently on each backpack during cutting, every single
one is unique.

It is built exactly like our BABY IKASI: compact, lightweight, and suitable for a small
back, with two outer pockets in contrasting colors, a magnetic closure, and a drawstring.
The fabric is different: It is woven in Portugal from SEAQUAL INITIATIVE yarn, which is made
from plastic recovered from the ocean. The padded back is made of recycled PET felt, and the
side seams are edged with vegetable-tanned leather.

Inside and out
On the front, there are two outer pockets in contrasting colors for the items you need to keep
handy. Inside, you will find a small compartment for treasures and a snap hook for your keys.

Carrying comfort
The back panel is padded with recycled PET felt. It makes the backpack feel comfortably soft
against your back and gives it its shape.
Closure
The flap closes with a magnetic FIDLOCK buckle, while a drawstring provides additional
security for the contents underneath.

MATERIAL & CARE 

Recycled polyester
The fabric is woven in Portugal from SEAQUAL INITIATIVE yarn. Plastic is collected from the
ocean, cleaned, and spun into new yarn for this purpose. The fabric is water-repellent and
durable.
Care: Brush off loose dirt when dry and remove small stains with a damp microfiber
cloth. For a more thorough cleaning, treat the fabric with a soft brush, water, and some mild
soap, then rinse with clear water. Ensure that the leather edges remain dry. Pat the fabric
dry with a towel and let it air dry, keeping it away from radiators and direct heat.

Recycled PET felt
The padded back panel is made from 100% recycled PET felt from Italy. The felt is dense and
sturdy, gives the backpack its shape, and remains lightweight.
Care: The felt is protected on the inside and requires no special care. If something is spilled,
dab the area with a damp cloth and leave the bag open to air dry.

Vegetable-tanned leather
The side seams are edged with vegetable-tanned leather from Italy, in the areas where the
backpack is subjected to the most wear. Over time, the leather develops a patina that deepens
with touch, light, and use.
Care: Wipe the leather with a slightly damp cloth to remove surface dirt. Balance out
water spots or dry areas by rubbing the damp cloth over the spot and the surrounding area.
About once a year, the leather will benefit from a natural, colorless leather wax or oil to
nourish and protect it. Take care that none of it gets on the fabric, as it can leave stains.

Fittings
The magnetic closure is by FIDLOCK, and the snap hook is made of aluminum. Neither requires
any special care.
Natural materials change over time. Colors may darken slightly or soften, and this is exactly
what shows what your bag is made of.
