Berlin-based designer Raby-Florence Fofana created the print for this limited edition of the BABY IKASI. Her abstract compositions and patterns have accompanied us through several collaborations, and they look particularly cheerful on this small backpack. Because the print placement varies slightly on every bag during cutting, each one is unique.
It is built exactly like our BABY IKASI: compact, lightweight, and perfectly sized for a small back, with two contrasting outer pockets, a magnetic closure, and a drawstring. The fabric is what makes the difference: it is woven in Portugal from SEAQUAL INITIATIVE yarn, which is derived from marine plastic. The padded back is made of recycled PET felt, and the side seams are edged with vegetable-tanned leather.

Inside and out
On the front, there are two contrasting outer pockets for items you need to access quickly. Inside, you will find a small compartment for treasures and a snap hook for your keys.
Carrying comfort
The back panel is padded with recycled PET felt. It makes the backpack pleasantly soft against your back and gives it its shape.
Closure
The flap closes with a magnetic FIDLOCK fastener, and a drawstring provides additional security for the contents.
MATERIAL & CARE
Recycled polyester
The fabric is woven in Portugal from SEAQUAL INITIATIVE yarn. For this, plastic is collected from the ocean, cleaned, and spun into new yarn. The fabric is water-repellent and robust.
Care: Brush off loose dirt when dry and remove small stains with a damp microfiber cloth. For a more thorough cleaning, treat the fabric with a soft brush, water, and a little mild soap, then rinse with clean water. Be sure to keep the leather edges dry. Pat the fabric dry with a towel and let it air dry, keeping it away from radiators and direct heat.
Recycled PET felt
The padded back panel is made from 100% recycled PET felt from Italy. The felt is dense and stable, giving the backpack its shape while remaining lightweight.
Care: The felt sits protected on the inside and requires no special maintenance. If something should spill, pat the area with a damp cloth and leave the bag open to air dry.
Vegetable-tanned leather
The side seams, where the backpack is subjected to the most stress, are edged with vegetable-tanned leather from Italy. Over time, the leather will develop a patina that deepens through touch, light, and use.
Care: Wipe the leather with a slightly damp cloth to remove surface dirt. Even out water spots or dry patches by rubbing the damp cloth over the area and the surrounding surface. About once a year, the leather appreciates a natural, colorless leather wax or oil to nourish and protect it. Be careful not to get any on the fabric, as it can leave stains.
Hardware
The magnetic fastener is from FIDLOCK, and the snap hook is made of aluminum. Both require no special care.
Natural materials change over time. Colors may darken slightly or become softer, and that is exactly what shows what your bag is made of.
