ESKOLA | DL / blue

For this limited edition of the ESKOLA, artist and animation director David
Lüpschen has designed a unique print. He plays with color, form, and
movement in his work, and it is precisely this joy that the bag now carries into school.
Because the print falls a little differently on every bag during cutting, each one is
one-of-a-kind.

Inside, everything is as you know it from our ESKOLA: three well-thought-out compartments, a
padded back, reflective piping, and the magnetic FIDLOCK fasteners, which
can be opened with a single pull. The fabric is different: It is woven in Portugal from SEAQUAL
INITIATIVE yarn, which is made from plastic recovered from the ocean. Inside, recycled
PET felt gives the bag its shape, and the edges and base are reinforced as always with vegetable-tanned
leather. Each bag is sewn in our studio in Berlin.

Interior
The interior is divided into three compartments. The rear compartment sits directly against the back, so the
weight of books and notebooks is carried close to the body. This compartment is also made of
water-repellent organic cotton and provides extra protection for notebooks and books. The main compartment
has space for a pencil case, lunch box, and water bottle. In the front, there is a dedicated compartment for
smaller items so they are protected and easy to find again.
In the flap, there is a zippered pocket for personal items. The key hangs from a carabiner, and a webbing loop
keeps the water bottle upright so that nothing tips over or spills.

Carrying comfort and visibility
The back panel and shoulder straps are padded, and the straps are adjustable in length.
This ensures the ESKOLA sits comfortably throughout the entire school day. Reflective piping on the edges
and on the leather trim at the front ensures that your child is clearly visible on dark winter mornings and
afternoons.

Fastener
The magnetic FIDLOCK fasteners open with a simple downward pull and
snap shut almost by themselves when closing. Even small hands can manage this without any help.

Chest strap
The ESKOLA sits so well on the back that most children do not need a chest strap.
If you would like one anyway, you can simply order it, and we will sew it directly onto the
bag.

MATERIAL & CARE 

Recycled Polyester
The fabric is woven in Portugal from SEAQUAL INITIATIVE yarn. For this, plastic is collected from the sea,
cleaned, and spun into new yarn. The fabric is water-repellent and
robust.
Care: Brush off loose dirt when dry and remove small stains with a damp
microfiber cloth. For a more thorough cleaning, treat the fabric with a soft
brush, water, and a little mild soap, then rinse with clear water. Make sure
that the leather edges remain dry. Pat the fabric dry with a towel and
let it air dry, keeping it away from radiators and direct heat.

Recycled PET felt
The inner lining is made of 100% recycled PET felt from Italy. The felt is dense and stable,
gives the bag its shape, and remains lightweight.
Care: The felt is protected on the inside and does not require any special care. If
something does spill, dab the area with a damp cloth and let the bag
dry in the air while open.

Vegetable-tanned leather
Edges and the base are reinforced with vegetable-tanned leather from Italy. It protects the
areas that receive the most wear during the school day and develops a patina over time,
which becomes deeper through touch, light, and use.
Care: Wipe the leather with a slightly damp cloth to remove
surface dirt. Balance out water spots or dry areas by rubbing the damp
cloth over the spot and the surrounding area. About once a year, the leather
appreciates a natural, colorless leather wax or oil, which nourishes and protects it. Ensure
that none of it gets on the fabric, as it can leave stains.

Hardware
The magnetic fasteners are from FIDLOCK; sliders and carabiners are made of aluminum. They
do not require any special care.

Natural materials change over time. Colors may darken slightly or become
softer, and this is exactly what shows what your bag is made of.
