ESKOLA | DL / pink

For this limited edition of the ESKOLA, artist and animation director David Lüpschen has designed a unique print. In his work, he plays with color, form, and movement, and it is precisely this joy that the bag now carries to school. Because the print falls a little differently on each bag during cutting, every single one is a unique piece.

Inside, everything is just as you know it from our ESKOLA: three well-thought-out compartments, a padded back, reflective piping, and the magnetic FIDLOCK fasteners that can be opened with a single pull. The fabric, however, is different: it is woven in Portugal from SEAQUAL INITIATIVE yarn, which is made from plastic recovered from the sea. Inside, recycled PET felt gives the bag its shape, and as always, the edges and base are reinforced with vegetable-tanned leather. Each bag is sewn in our studio in Berlin.

Interior
The interior is divided into three compartments. The rear compartment sits directly against the back, so the weight of books and notebooks is carried close to the body. This compartment is also made of water-repellent organic cotton, providing extra protection for books and notebooks. The main compartment has space for a pencil case, lunch box, and water bottle. In the front, there is a dedicated compartment for smaller items so that they are protected and easy to find again.
There is a zippered pocket inside the flap for personal items. The key hangs from a carabiner, and a webbing loop keeps the water bottle upright so nothing tips over or spills.

Carrying comfort and visibility
The back panel and shoulder straps are padded, and the straps are adjustable in length. This makes the ESKOLA comfortable to wear all school day long. Reflective piping on the edges and on the front leather trim ensures that your child is clearly visible on dark winter mornings and afternoons.

Fastener
The magnetic FIDLOCK fasteners open with a simple downward pull and snap shut almost by themselves. Even small hands can manage this without any help.

Chest strap
The ESKOLA sits so well on the back that most children do not need a chest strap. If you would like one anyway, you can simply order it with your bag, and we will sew it directly onto it.

MATERIAL & CARE

Recycled polyester
The fabric is woven in Portugal from SEAQUAL INITIATIVE yarn. For this, plastic is collected from the sea, cleaned, and spun into new yarn. The fabric is water-repellent and robust.
Care: Brush off loose dirt when dry and remove small stains with a damp microfiber cloth. For a more thorough cleaning, treat the fabric with a soft brush, water, and a little mild soap, then rinse with clear water. Be careful to keep the leather edges dry. Pat the fabric dry with a towel and let it air dry, away from heaters and direct heat.

Recycled PET felt
The lining is made of 100% recycled PET felt from Italy. The felt is dense and stable, giving the bag its shape while remaining lightweight.
Care: The felt sits protected inside and does not require any special care. If something has spilled, dab the area with a damp cloth and leave the bag open to air dry.

Vegetable-tanned leather
Edges and the base are reinforced with vegetable-tanned leather from Italy. It protects the areas that get the most wear during the school day and develops a patina over time that becomes deeper through touch, light, and use.
Care: Wipe the leather with a slightly damp cloth to remove surface dirt. You can even out water spots or dry areas by rubbing the damp cloth over the spot and the surrounding area. About once a year, the leather appreciates a natural, colorless leather wax or oil to nourish and protect it. Make sure none of it gets on the fabric, as it can leave stains there.

Fittings
The magnetic fasteners are by FIDLOCK, and the sliders and carabiners are made of aluminum. They do not require any special care.

Natural materials change over time. Colors may darken slightly or become softer, and this is precisely what shows what your bag is made of.
