The IKASI is the big brother of our BABY IKASI, made for older school children and
adults. It has the same clean design and enough space for everything a full day
requires.
On the front are two outer pockets for the things you want to have quickly at hand.
The flap closes with a magnetic FIDLOCK fastener, while a drawstring keeps the contents
secure underneath. Inside, there is a pocket for personal items and a carabiner hook for
your keys.
The IKASI is crafted from water-repellent organic cotton, the padded back from
wool felt, and the side seams are edged with vegetable-tanned leather. It is sewn in
our studio in Berlin so that it will accompany you for many years.

Inside and out

Comfort
The back panel is padded, and the shoulder straps are adjustable in length. This makes the
IKASI comfortable to carry all day long.
Closure
The flap closes with a magnetic G-Hook fastener, which is easily slid into a loop.
MATERIAL & CARE
Organic Cotton
The organic cotton is a triple-twisted Panama weave, woven and dyed in
Germany and Italy. This fabric was originally developed for workwear. It is
correspondingly robust and abrasion-resistant, yet still feels pleasantly soft.
It is impregnated with a PFC-free C0 finish that lets rain bead off and requires
no harmful chemicals.
Care: It is best to brush off loose dirt while dry. You can also simply tap out
dust, just like with a pillow. Small stains can usually be removed with a slightly
damp microfiber cloth, ideally without any soap at all. For a more thorough
cleaning, work a little mild soapy water (a mild shampoo or wool detergent works
well) into the fabric with a soft brush and then wipe it down with clear water.
This ensures no soap residue remains in the fabric, which could otherwise leave
marks. Pat the bag dry with a towel and let it air dry, away from radiators or
direct heat.
Wool Felt
The padded back panel is made of wool felt from Italy, consisting of 75% recycled wool from
New Zealand and 25% polyester. It is breathable, regulates temperature, and gives
the backpack its shape.
Care: The felt is protected on the inside and requires no specific care. If something
should happen to spill, dab the area with a damp cloth and leave the bag open to air dry.
Vegetable-Tanned Leather
The side seams are edged with vegetable-tanned leather from Italy, in the areas where the
backpack experiences the most wear. Over time, the leather develops a patina that grows
deeper through touch, light, and use.
Care: Wipe the leather with a slightly damp cloth to remove surface dirt. You can
even out water spots or dry areas by rubbing the damp cloth over the spot and the
surrounding area. About once a year, the leather appreciates a natural, colorless leather
wax or oil to nourish and protect it. Ensure that none of it gets onto the fabric,
as it can leave stains there.
Hardware
The magnetic closure is from FIDLOCK, and the carabiner hook is made of aluminum.
Both require no special care.
Natural materials change over time. Colors may darken slightly or become softer, and
that is precisely where the character of your bag shows.
