The IKASI is the big brother of our BABY IKASI, made for older school children and
adults. It features the same clean design and enough space for everything a full day
requires.
On the front are two outer pockets for the things you want to have quickly at hand.
The flap closes with a magnetic FIDLOCK fastener, and a drawstring underneath keeps the
contents secure. Inside, there is a compartment for personal items and a carabiner for your
keys.
The IKASI is crafted from water-repellent organic cotton, the padded back from
wool felt, and the side seams are edged with vegetable-tanned leather. It is sewn in
our studio in Berlin so that it will accompany you for many years.

Wearing comfort
The back panel is padded, and the shoulder straps are adjustable in length. This makes the
IKASI comfortable to carry all day long.
Closure
The flap closes with a magnetic G-Hook fastener, which is easily slid into a loop.
MATERIAL & CARE
Organic cotton
The organic cotton is a triple-twisted Panama weave, woven and dyed in
Germany and Italy. This fabric was originally developed for workwear. It is
appropriately robust and abrasion-resistant, yet feels pleasantly soft. It is treated
with a PFC-free C0 finish that lets rain bead off and contains no harmful
chemicals.
Care: It is best to brush off loose dirt while dry. You can also simply shake out
dust, just like with a cushion. Small stains can usually be removed with a slightly
damp microfiber cloth, ideally without any soap. For a more thorough
cleaning, work a little mild soapy water (a mild shampoo or wool detergent
is suitable) into the fabric with a soft brush and then wipe with clear
water. This prevents soap residue from remaining in the fabric, which could otherwise leave marks.
Pat the bag dry with a towel and let it air dry, keeping it away from radiators and direct heat.
Wool felt
The padded back panel is made of wool felt from Italy, produced from 75% recycled wool from
New Zealand and 25% polyester. It is breathable, regulates temperature, and gives
the backpack its shape.
Care: The felt is protected on the inside and requires no special care. Should something
spill, dab the area with a damp cloth and let the bag air dry while open.
Vegetable-tanned leather
The side seams are edged with vegetable-tanned leather from Italy, in areas where the
backpack is subjected to the most stress. Over time, the leather develops a patina that deepens
with touch, light, and use.
Care: Wipe the leather with a slightly damp cloth to remove surface dirt.
Water stains or dry areas can be evened out by rubbing the damp cloth over the spot and the surrounding area.
About once a year, the leather appreciates a natural, colorless leather wax or oil,
which nourishes and protects it. Ensure that none of it gets onto the fabric, as it can
leave stains there.
Fittings
The magnetic closure is by FIDLOCK, the carabiner is made of aluminum. Both require
no special care.
Natural materials change over time. Colors may darken slightly or soften,
and that is precisely what shows what your bag is made of.
