The IKASI is the big brother of our BABY IKASI, made for older school children and
adults. It has the same clean shape and enough space for everything a full day
needs.
On the front are two outer pockets for the things you want to have quickly at hand.
The flap closes with a magnetic FIDLOCK buckle, while a drawstring keeps the contents
secure underneath. Inside, there is a compartment for personal items and a snap hook
for your keys.
The IKASI is made from water-repellent organic cotton, the padded back is made of
wool felt, and the side seams are trimmed with vegetable-tanned leather. It is sewn in
our studio in Berlin so that it can accompany you for many years.

Inside and out

Comfort
The back panel is padded, and the shoulder straps are adjustable in length. This makes the IKASI comfortable to carry all day long.
Closure
The flap closes with a magnetic G-Hook, which is simply slid into a loop.
MATERIAL & CARE
Organic cotton
The organic cotton is a triple-twisted panama weave, woven and dyed in
Germany and Italy. This fabric was originally developed for workwear. It is
correspondingly robust and abrasion-resistant while still feeling pleasantly soft.
It is impregnated with a PFC-free C0 finish, which makes rain bead off and requires
no harmful chemicals.
Care: It is best to brush off loose dirt while dry. You can also simply tap dust out,
just like with a pillow. Small stains can usually be removed with a slightly
damp microfiber cloth, ideally without any soap at all. For a more thorough
cleaning, work some mild soapy water (a mild shampoo or wool detergent
works well) into the fabric with a soft brush and then wipe clean with clear
water. This prevents soap residue from remaining in the fabric, which can otherwise leave marks.
Pat the bag dry with a towel and let it air dry, away from radiators or direct heat.
Wool felt
The padded back panel is made of wool felt from Italy, produced from 75% recycled wool from
New Zealand and 25% polyester. It is breathable, balances heat and cold, and gives
the backpack its shape.
Care: The felt is protected on the inside and requires no special care. If something should spill, dab the area with a damp cloth and let the bag air dry while open.
Vegetable-tanned leather
The side seams are trimmed with vegetable-tanned leather from Italy, in areas where the
backpack is subjected to the most wear. Over time, the leather develops a patina that becomes
deeper through touch, light, and use.
Care: Wipe the leather with a slightly damp cloth to remove surface dirt.
You can even out water stains or dry spots by rubbing the damp cloth over the area
and the surrounding surface. About once a year, the leather appreciates a natural, clear leather wax or oil to nourish and protect it. Make sure none of it gets on the fabric, as it can leave stains.
Fittings
The magnetic buckle is from FIDLOCK, the snap hook is made of aluminum. Both require
no special care.
Natural materials change over time. Colors may darken slightly or soften, and that is precisely what shows what your bag is made of.
