ESKOLA | RABY / yellow

For this limited edition of the ESKOLA, Berlin designer Raby-Florence Fofana has created the
print. Her abstract compositions and patterns have accompanied us through several
collaborations, and we are delighted every time one of her designs becomes a bag.
Because the print falls slightly differently on every bag during cutting, each individual one is
unique.

Inside, everything is just as you know it from our ESKOLA: three well-thought-out compartments, a
padded back, reflective piping, and magnetic FIDLOCK buckles that can be opened with one pull.
The fabric is different: It is woven in Portugal from SEAQUAL® INITIATIVE yarn, which is
made from plastic recovered from the sea. Inside, recycled PET felt gives the bag its shape,
and the edges and base are reinforced as always with vegetable-tanned leather. Each bag is
sewn in our studio in Berlin.

Interior
The interior is divided into three compartments. The rear compartment sits directly against the back,
so the weight of books and notebooks is carried close to the body. This compartment is also made
of water-repellent organic cotton, providing additional protection for books and notebooks.
The main compartment has room for a pencil case, lunch box, and water bottle. In the front, there is
a dedicated compartment for smaller items so that they are protected and easy to find again.
A zippered pocket for personal items is located in the flap. The key hangs from the snap hook, and
a webbing loop keeps the water bottle upright so that nothing tips over or leaks.

Carrying comfort and visibility
The back panel and shoulder straps are padded, and the straps are adjustable in length.
This ensures the ESKOLA sits comfortably throughout the entire school day. Reflective piping on
the edges and on the leather trim at the front ensures that your child is well seen on dark winter
mornings and afternoons.

Closure
The magnetic FIDLOCK buckles open with a simple downward pull and snap shut almost on their
own. Even small hands can manage this without any help.

Chest strap
The ESKOLA sits so well on the back that most children do not need a chest strap. Those who
would still like one can simply order it, and we will sew it directly onto the bag.

MATERIAL & CARE 

Recycled Polyester
The fabric is woven in Portugal from SEAQUAL® INITIATIVE yarn. For this, plastic is collected from
the sea, cleaned, and spun into new yarn. The fabric is water-repellent and robust.
Care: Brush off loose dirt when dry and remove small stains with a damp microfiber cloth.
For a more thorough cleaning, treat the fabric with a soft brush, water, and some mild soap,
and then rinse with clear water. Ensure that the leather edges remain dry. Dab the fabric
dry with a towel and let it air dry, away from heaters and direct heat.

Recycled PET felt
The inner lining is made of 100% recycled PET felt from Italy. The felt is dense and stable,
giving the bag its shape while remaining lightweight.
Care: The felt is protected on the inside and requires no special care. If something does spill,
dab the area with a damp cloth and leave the bag open to air dry.

Vegetable-tanned leather
Edges and base are reinforced with vegetable-tanned leather from Italy. It protects the areas that
experience the most wear in everyday school life and develops a patina over time that deepens
through touch, light, and use.
Care: Wipe the leather with a slightly damp cloth to remove superficial dirt. Even out water
stains or dry areas by rubbing the damp cloth over the spot and the surrounding surface.
About once a year, the leather appreciates a natural, colorless leather wax or oil to nourish and
protect it. Make sure that none of this gets onto the fabric, as it can leave stains.

Hardware
The magnetic buckles are by FIDLOCK; the sliders and snap hooks are aluminum. They require
no special care.

Natural materials change over time. Colors may darken slightly or become softer, and this is
exactly where it shows what your bag is made of.
