This MOIRÉ has already had a first life: its fabric was once a cinema banner. Instead of ending up in the trash, the mesh came to our studio, and we sewed it into a shopper. Because each banner was printed differently, every bag features a different piece of the old poster. No two look the same.
The material feels a bit like paper, but it is very durable. Over time, it develops fine creases and gentle signs of wear, its own unique patina. Like every MOIRÉ, it can do two things: you can carry it by the leather handles or wear it on your back with the adjustable straps. Inside, there are three small pockets and a carabiner for your keys; snap buttons close the top edge.

Carrying
You can carry the MOIRÉ in your hand using the two leather handles or as a backpack with the adjustable webbing straps.

MATERIAL & CARE
Upcycled Mesh
This mesh had a first life as a cinema banner. Instead of being disposed of, it came to us, and we turned it into a long-lasting bag fabric. It looks similar to paper but is very durable and will develop fine creases and gentle signs of wear over time, its very own patina. Because each banner was printed differently, every bag is one of a kind.
Care: The mesh can even be taken into the shower. Water, a little soap, and a soft brush will get it clean again. Just make sure the leather handles stay dry. Afterward, simply let the bag air dry, away from radiators and direct heat.
Vegetable-tanned leather
The handles are made of vegetable-tanned leather from Belgium. Over time, they become softer and develop a patina that deepens through touch, light, and use.
Care: Wipe the leather with a slightly damp cloth to remove surface dirt. You can balance out water spots or dry areas by rubbing the damp cloth over the area and the surrounding surface. About once a year, the leather appreciates a natural, colorless leather wax or oil to nourish and protect it.
Webbing and hardware
The webbing for the adjustable straps comes from Belgium; it is tightly woven and very durable. Snap buttons keep the top edge closed, and the carabiner is made of aluminum.
Care: The webbing and hardware do not require any special care. If necessary, simply wipe them clean with a damp cloth.
Natural materials change over time. Colors may darken slightly or soften, and that is exactly what shows what your bag is made of.
