ESKOLA | RABY / orange

For this limited edition of the ESKOLA, Berlin designer Raby-Florence Fofana has designed the
print. Her abstract compositions and patterns have accompanied us through several
collaborations, and we are delighted every time one of her designs becomes a bag.
Because the print falls slightly differently on each bag during cutting, each one is
unique.

Everything on the inside is just as you know it from our ESKOLA: three well-thought-out compartments, a
padded back, reflective piping, and the magnetic FIDLOCK closures that
can be opened with a single pull. The fabric is different: it is woven in Portugal from SEAQUAL
INITIATIVE yarn, which is made from plastic recovered from the sea. Inside, recycled
PET felt gives the bag its shape, and edges and the base are, as always, reinforced with vegetable-tanned
leather. Each bag is sewn in our studio in Berlin.

Interior
The interior is divided into three compartments. The rear compartment sits directly against the back, so the
weight of books and notebooks is carried close to the body. This compartment is also made of
water-repellent organic cotton and provides additional protection for notebooks and books. The main compartment
has space for a pencil case, lunch box, and water bottle. In the front, there is a separate compartment for
smaller items so that they are protected and easy to find again.
There is a zippered pocket in the flap for personal items. Keys hang from the carabiner, and a loop of
webbing keeps the water bottle upright so nothing tips over or leaks.

Comfort and Visibility
The back panel and shoulder straps are padded, and the straps are adjustable in length.
This ensures the ESKOLA sits comfortably throughout the school day. Reflective piping on the edges
and on the leather trim at the front ensures that your child is well seen on dark winter mornings and
afternoons.

Closure
The magnetic FIDLOCK closures open with a simple pull downwards and
snap shut almost by themselves when closing. Even small hands can manage this without any help.

Chest Strap
The ESKOLA sits so well on the back that most children do not need a chest strap.
If you would like one anyway, you can simply order it, and we will sew it directly onto the
bag.

MATERIAL & CARE 

Recycled Polyester
The fabric is woven in Portugal from SEAQUAL INITIATIVE yarn. For this, plastic is collected from the sea,
cleaned, and spun into new yarn. The fabric is water-repellent and
durable.
Care: Brush off loose dirt when dry and remove small stains with a damp
microfiber cloth. For a more thorough cleaning, treat the fabric with a soft
brush, water, and a little mild soap, then rinse with clear water afterwards.
Make sure the leather edges remain dry. Dab the fabric dry with a towel and
let it air dry, away from heaters and direct heat.

Recycled PET Felt
The inner lining is made of 100% recycled PET felt from Italy. The felt is dense and stable,
giving the bag its shape while remaining lightweight.
Care: The felt sits protected on the inside and does not require its own care. If something
does spill, dab the area with a damp cloth and let the bag
dry in the air while open.

Vegetable-Tanned Leather
Edges and the base are reinforced with vegetable-tanned leather from Italy. It protects the
areas that take the most wear in everyday school life and develops a patina over time,
which becomes deeper through touch, light, and use.
Care: Wipe the leather with a slightly damp cloth to remove
surface dirt. Balance out water spots or dry areas by rubbing the area and the surrounding
surface with the damp cloth. About once a year, the leather appreciates a natural, colorless leather wax or oil
to nourish and protect it. Ensure that none of it gets on the fabric, as it can
leave stains there.

Fittings
The magnetic closures are from FIDLOCK, and the sliders and carabiners are made of aluminum. They
require no special care.

Natural materials change over time. Colors may darken slightly or
become softer, and that is exactly what shows what your bag is made of.
